It is one of the easiest beadweaving stitches to learn. In this class, we will focus on flat peyote stitch and begin with even count and then move on to the more advanced odd count version. Along the way, we’ll use these stitches to create finished jewelry pieces, including bracelets, necklaces, earrings, and toggles and clasps. Classes will include tips and techniques for designing and finishing your jewelry projects. Beads are included in class fees. $10 (per class) For LEC Members / $12 Non-Members

Learn how to Square Dance! During this 12-week class you will learn the basic square dance movements and how to take direction from a “caller”. Square Dancing is an excellent way to meet new people, exercise, and have fun at the same time! A square dance is a dance for four couples (eight dancers) arranged in a square, with one couple on each side, facing the middle of the square. The various square dance movements are based on the steps and figures used in traditional folk dances and social dances from many countries. In most American forms of square dance, the dancers are prompted or cued through a sequence of steps by a caller to the beat of music.
